1. Bookings and payment

Lesson prices are those shown at the time of booking. Standard lesson payment is due no later than the beginning of the lesson unless another arrangement has been agreed. Test Day Packages require advance payment unless P Plate Ready has offered a pay-later arrangement. Where payment is required during booking, complete payment to confirm. If P Plate Ready provides a pay-later booking link, you can confirm without paying upfront and arrange payment with Damien. This is not a discount or a free lesson; the full booking price remains payable.

2. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

Standard lesson cancellations: Give at least 6 hours’ notice before your scheduled lesson starts to cancel and receive a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled lesson, less a 10% cancellation and administration fee. Cancellations with less than 6 hours’ notice receive no refund, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Standard lesson rescheduling: Give at least 6 hours’ notice before your scheduled lesson starts to move it to another available time at no additional charge. Your lesson type and duration stay the same. If you cannot attend and have less than 6 hours’ notice, contact Damien; the late-cancellation refund policy applies if you cancel.

How to make a change: Use the Manage booking link in your confirmation email. For standard lessons, online cancellation closes 6 hours before the lesson, and online rescheduling closes 6 hours before it. To report a late cancellation, call 0403 926 636. Notice is measured from when your online change is confirmed or your cancellation request is received by P Plate Ready, using Brisbane time.

Missed lessons: Missed lessons may be charged where the reserved time cannot reasonably be filled.

Cancellation and administration fee: When you cancel with the required notice and request a refund, we deduct 10% of the amount paid for the cancelled booking and refund the remaining 90%. This fee covers payment processing, cancellation administration and work involved in seeking a replacement booking. It applies only to bookings made after these updated terms are published. Earlier bookings remain subject to the terms agreed when they were made. No fee applies to eligible rescheduling, cancellations by P Plate Ready, or where a deduction would be inconsistent with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Refund processing: Cancelling online does not automatically issue a refund. Contact Damien to arrange any refund due under these terms.

Changes by P Plate Ready: If we need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, we will contact you as soon as practicable. You may choose another suitable available time at no additional charge or a full refund of the payment for the lesson we cannot provide, with no cancellation and administration fee.

Test Day Packages: At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel for a refund less the 10% cancellation and administration fee, or to reschedule at no additional charge. Online cancellation and rescheduling both close 24 hours before the package starts. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice receive no refund, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Call Damien to report a late cancellation. Refunds are arranged with Damien and are not issued automatically.

These notice periods apply to bookings made directly with P Plate Ready. Bookings made through another booking provider are managed through that provider under the terms agreed when booking. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Late arrival and lesson time

Students should be ready at the agreed pickup or meeting location at the booking time. A late start caused by the student may reduce the driving time available so later bookings are not affected.

4. Licence and fitness to drive

The student must hold a current licence or learner licence that legally permits them to drive the relevant vehicle and must comply with any licence conditions. Students must be fit to drive. A lesson may be refused or stopped where the instructor reasonably considers that illness, fatigue, alcohol, drugs, medication, behaviour, footwear or another issue makes driving unsafe or unlawful.

5. Safety and instructor directions

Safety comes first. Students must follow reasonable safety directions from the instructor. P Plate Ready may stop a lesson where continuing would create an unacceptable safety risk.

6. Vehicles

Automatic lessons are provided in the nominated P Plate Ready instructor vehicle unless otherwise agreed. Lessons are provided in the nominated P Plate Ready automatic instructor vehicle unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

7. Test Day Packages

The Test Day Package is 2.5 hours (150 minutes) and costs $225.

The student is responsible for holding a valid Queensland practical driving test booking and meeting TMR eligibility and identification requirements. Students should provide P Plate Ready with the correct test location and appointment time. TMR may change, delay or cancel tests for reasons outside P Plate Ready's control. Any resulting changes to the package will be handled reasonably according to the circumstances and availability.

8. Practical test outcome

Driving lessons and test preparation cannot guarantee that a student will pass a practical driving test. The licensing authority and its examiner determine the test result independently.

9. Pickup and service area

Bookings are subject to P Plate Ready's service area and travel availability. If a requested pickup location cannot reasonably be serviced, we will contact you to arrange an alternative meeting point or booking time.

Booking and contact information is used to provide lessons, communicate about bookings and operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The terms published on this website at the time of a booking will apply to that booking unless otherwise agreed.
